Required Documents to Title a Vehicle
To title a new or used vehicle in Colorado, bring the following to your County Motor Vehicle Office:
Proof of Ownership
Identification
Odometer Disclosure
Proof of Insurance
VIN Inspection
Liens
Note: If the car has never been titled (e.g., from a manufacturer or not previously titled), you will need an MSO and possibly a weight slip for certain vehicles.

Colorado allows temporary permits so you can legally drive the car while you complete the title/registration — check with your county DMV office for availability.
